To repeal or not to repeal- Is that the question?

As our fight continues in Denton, we find ourselves again faced with challenging choices. The city council is considering how to move forward in the lawsuit with the Texas Oil and Gas Association. As a community we are weighing ideas of strategy, legal possibilities, and a strong desire to see our vote and ban upheld.

Ultimately, our common goals remain the same- to protect our community from the industrial activity of fracking. We will continue to fight for the health and safety of the people of Denton; that is a task that never ends.

The Denton Drilling Awareness Group, at its core, is an educational entity. We are also just human beings grappling with this issue alongside our neighbors. We wish to be transparent through that process and help present to the best of our understanding what our options are moving forward.

As we have seen all through the campaign, Denton is a phenomenally creative community rich with ideas and strong with resolve! We are here to listen, please bring your ideas to the table. Together, we will continue to move our powerful narrative forward.
