We just had a very successful Direct Action Training recently with the Texas Drought Project who trained 50 motivated activists.  \nIn our next series of trainings\, we are proud to present Greenpeace for a full weekend of Non-Violent Direct Action Training.  \nIn these difficult times\, using the power of our voices and our bodies to fight for what we believe in is more important than ever. \nGreenpeace has been using non-violent action to resist tyranical bullies since 1971. \nOur mission: Greenpeace is the leading independent campaigning organization that uses peaceful protest and creative communication to expose global environmental problems and promote solutions that are essential to a green and peaceful future.\nhttp://www.greenpeace.org/usa/about/ \nJoin Greenpeace for a 1-day training on the best practices of nonviolent direct action. The 5K walk/run route will begin at the MLK Center continuing through other historical areas of South Dallas and winding back to the MLK Center. We will shed light on the lives lost\, the communities who live in fear\, and the threats that are still ringing out against innocent men\, women\, and children in our country.  \nAs we come together\, we will stand in silent outrage over the new muslim ban. We will send the message that we will not forget those whose lives were violently changed or taken and we will not back down from this fight. \nWe will kick off the vigil with a couple of keynote speakers\, including a representative from both the ACLU and CAIR-DFW.
