Donald Trump has been given more media attention than any other candidate this election cycle and at times seemed unstoppable. His hateful, bigoted rhetoric and incitement of violence have targeted the rights of people of color, immigrants, women, LGBTQ people, and the working class as a whole. Nationally, wealth inequality is growing; racist scapegoating of Muslims, Latinxs and immigrants is still commonplace; #BlackLivesMatter has brought attention to police brutality and mass incarceration; and more people are losing hope in the political system and its establishment.
Join us for a discussion where we will ask: How do we make sense of Trump’s rise? What are our options? And, are there alternatives to both Trump and politics as usual?
