TPI Prison Services Committee Meeting – May 18, 2016

Come and learn about our Prison Services Committee, doing work to support and advocate for incarcerated trans persons across Texas.

One object of the committees is to grow participation and encourage leadership through support, encouragement, and community participation! We hope to rotate facilitators to give people experience planning and running meetings, with help from committee leaders when needed.

We are currently writing letters and taking on other tasks to support incarcerated trans persons. We’ll be teaching you the basics, and coming together to support each other with advice and debriefing (some of the letters and situations can be very heavy and emotionally challenging) so we all help each other do this better.
