Join the Denton Socialists – ISO for a discussion on the classic Marxist text, Lenin’s State and Revolution.
What is a socialist revolution?
What does workers’ control and power look like?
What is a Workers’ State?
These are some of the questions that are taken up in this work.
The State of Revolution was written by V.I. Lenin, a leader of the Russian Revolution of 1917, after the fall of the Tsar, but before the victory of the working class and the establishment of the world’s first workers’ state. This pamphlet examines the class nature of the state, revolutionary movements that influenced Marx and Engels thinking on the subject, and practical suggestions for the winning of power by the working class.
We will be discussion the pamphlet in its entirety. It can be purchased as an Ebook or found for free online.
