SPEAK OUT Against Fetal Tissue Burial Rules

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission is holding a hearing to take public comment on the proposed embryonic and fetal tissue burial and cremation rules. These are similar to rules promulgated by Governor Greg Abbott last summer and despite an ongoing legal challenge, the Legislature codified the rules into state law this summer.

Requiring burial or cremation of fetal tissue is cruel and medically unnecessary and serves only to stigmatize people seeking abortion care.
