Socialist Reading Group

November 13, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

The Socialist Reading Group is a project of Democratic Socialists of America, the Denton County Green Party, and the International Socialist Organization. We see the group as a space where comrades from different traditions and backgrounds, as well as people who might not yet identify as a socialists but are curious socialist politics, to come together to learn with and from one another.

This meeting we will be discussing Rosa Luxemburg’s pamphlet Reform or Revolution. The discussion will center around these questions: Can we vote and legislate our way to socialism? If a revolution is necessary how do we get there? Should we fight for reforms that benefit working class people at all?
