Socialist Cinema: A Fundraiser

Join the Denton branch of the International Socialist Organization (ISO) for a fundraiser and film viewing of Land and Freedom. All proceeds will go to benefit Haymarket Books, a radical, independent, nonprofit book publisher (https://www.haymarketbooks.org)
This event will be held in the Maroon Room at UNT College Inn.
We are asking for $5-10 donations and will be selling sodas for $1. Please bring your own snacks and water. Since we will be holding this fundraiser on a university campus, please do not bring any alcohol.
We will also be selling our newspaper, Socialist Worker, Haymarket Books, and the International Socialist Review. And you can pick up one of our “Stop the Deportations” shirts for $20.
Land and Freedom is a fictional story about a man who travels to Spain during the Civil War and joins with socialists and anarchists to fight fascism. Following the film we will have a brief discussion.
We will also have a discussion on the struggle against the rise of a far right today: from Charlottesville to Boston to Berkeley to the fight against SB4 in Texas.
