RIght 2 Justice Teach-In

Join us Thursday, September 1 for a discussion around how we can organize to overhaul existing policies to make sure ALL communities of color in Houston have a right to justice! Topics to be discussed will include:
– Bail system reform
– Implementing cite & release
– Ending debtors prison
– Ending collaboration with ICE
– Drug diversion
– Police accountability
– Youth justice
The Right 2 Justice Campaign is a coordinated organizing effort to push forward a community-driven policy platform with the explicit goal of occupying the public discourse and making BIG reforms for the City of Houston and Harris County Criminal Justice Systems.
Participating organizations include: American Civil Liberties of Texas, BLMHTX, Mi Familia Vota, No More Blood Shed Movement, Power House Ministries, OG1: Operation Outreach, SEIU: Service Employees International Union-Texas, S.H.A.P.E Community Center, The People Hold the Purse, Truth & Justice, TOP: Texas Organizing Project, Truth to Power, United We Dream, New Black Panther Party, TPI: Think Peace International , and HPJC: Houston Peace and Justice Center.
