Non-Violent Direct Action Training

The Dallas Peace and Justice Center is very exciited to host Greenpeace to offer Non-Violent Direct Action Training. We just had a very successful Direct Action Training recently with the Texas Drought Project who trained 50 motivated activists.

In our next series of trainings, we are proud to present Greenpeace for a full weekend of Non-Violent Direct Action Training.

In these difficult times, using the power of our voices and our bodies to fight for what we believe in is more important than ever.

Greenpeace has been using non-violent action to resist tyranical bullies since 1971.

Our mission: Greenpeace is the leading independent campaigning organization that uses peaceful protest and creative communication to expose global environmental problems and promote solutions that are essential to a green and peaceful future.

Join Greenpeace for a 1-day training on the best practices of nonviolent direct action. Included content: the history and philosophy of nonviolence, centering exercises to help de-escalate a situation, and an introduction to Greenpeace’s work to resist fossil fuels and create a clean energy future.

This 1-day training will be offered twice: once on Saturday March 25th, and repeated on Sunday March 26th to accomidate as many people as possible. (Space is limited to 50 people each day)

The training will take place on Saturday, March 25th from 9am – 5pm and on Sunday, March 26th from 1pm – 7pm. Hosted by the Dallas Peace and Justice Center and presented by Greenpeace.

Choose which day of the training you will attend:
Saturday March 25th – 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. – Light breakfast, coffee and Beverages, Lunch, and snacks will be provided.
or
Sunday March 26th – 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. – Coffee & Beverages, Light Snacks and Dinner Provided.

$10 requested minimum donation to help cover cost of materials, space rental, and food. No one turned away for lack of funds.
