ABOUT EPISODE TWO: Co-Hosted by the Denton ISO (International Socialist Organization), our second episode turns to the BDS Movement–Boycott, Divest, Sanction. Many broad left movements and organizations have endorsed the BDS Movement, including the Democratic Socialists of America and the International Socialist Organization. In 2015, for example, more than 1,000 black activists,artists, scholars, politicians, and movement leaders like Angela Davis and Cornell West issued a statement proclaiming their “solidarity with the Palestinian struggle and commitment to the liberation of Palestine’s land and people. In this episode, we ask what do North Texans need to know about the BDS Movement? What’s at stake?
