First AfiyaTALKS MeetUp

Join us for the first Meet Up as we intorduce AfiyaTALKS a WOMEN ONLY group. Our First Book “Killing of the Black Body” by Dorthy Roberts. We want to tailor this program to the women involved and we will be doing brief survey.

“Afiya Talks” are bi-weekly, casual, salon style gatherings where an intergenerational group of Black and other women of color can come together to discuss shared interests, situations, and backgrounds. The goals of the Afiya Talks are to create a culturally affirming space for Black women and other women of color to share their stories, receive advocacy trainings, and transform pain to power.
