DFW Burlesque Charity Drive: Battered Womens Foundation

The Dallas Burlesque Community has decided to ban together for a charity cause that we hope you would help us with through your donations. We will be collecting household item for women leaving domestic abuse situations on behalf of The Battered Womens Foundation.
You may bring your dontations to any of the participating DFW burlesque shows. (List evolving as we gain more participants)

Items always in need include:

Laundry Detergent – Approximately 200 gallons per month
Paper Towels, Toilet Paper, Paper Plates
Toiletries – Body Wash, Razors, Shampoo, Hair Brushes and Combs, Toothbrushes, Toothpaste, Deodorant
Feminine Products
New Undergarments – Children’s sizes 2-14, Ladies size 5- 24 (Sizes 12-20 needed the most)
Pots & Pans, Utensils, Silverware, Glasses, Dishes
Small Appliances – Coffee Pot, Can Opener, Crock Pot, Curling Iron, Hair Blower
Cleaning Supplies: Brooms, Dust Pan, Mop
Tupperware or Food Storage Containers
Kitchen Knives
Iron & ironing board
Shoes in any Children’s sizes are desperately needed.
Motivational Books, CD’s, Or Tapes For Mom
Music CDs with Positive Music, Self-HelpTapes
Computers for Mothers attending college as well as for school-age children
Boxed Meals such as Banquet or Hamburger Helper or Mac and Cheese
Complete Taco Kits
Sugar, Flour, Kool-aid, Spices

As well as food items:

Boxed cereal
Boxed macaroni and cheese
Peanut butter and jelly
Pasta and sauce (in plastic jars, please)
Juice (in plastic bottles)
Canned Tuna
Canned Chicken
Soup
Beef Ravioli
Hamburger Helper
Canned Vegetables

Cake Mix and Frosting
Spices
Sugar

Cash Donations also appreciated and will be used by the organization to purchase the above items at a bulk discount price.
