“Art-ivism” Creative Resistance Workshop

This workshop, hosted by Beks Hinojosa, will share skills on how to effectively make Art for activism. Invite your friends & family. We will have art supplies & food available. 🙂

Learn how to make:

– different types banners (of all sizes)
– stencils
– graffiti
– puppets
– signs
– memes
– Art for non-violent direct actions
– organize art builds spaces for volunteers

We will also make mini banners that can be held-up with poles for the Frack Free Friday events.

Bekah is a Houston-based creative resistance organizer that graduated from UNT Spring of 2014. She gained her experience from building art for different environmental movements around the nation, such as Tar Sands resistance, fracking, coal, and climate change issues.
